Hidden Paradise is located on the Rufiji River on the edge of the famous Selous game reserve,
which is one of the biggest conservation areas in Tanzania, containing a huge variety
of the most beautiful animals Africa has to offer, including “the big five”.
Selous is also famous for its spectacular bird life – over 300 species -
which has heartily satisfied even the most particular bird watchers.

To reach the camp by air, you will fly in to Mtemere Airstrip, a short game drive away.
Or you can drive in a 4x4 vehicle from Dar es Salaam, via the Pugu Hills. Take the Kilwa road and turn right at Kibiti.
Follow the road until you come to a T-junction, not far from Selous. There is a sign with the names of all the Selous camps on it.
Turn right here and turn off at Mloka village, which is about 7 km from the Mtemere park gates. Follow the signs to Hidden Paradise.
The journey takes about 5-6 hours.
